transform! europe<\/span><\/b> trauert um Javier Navascu\u00e9s. Javier war ein Mitbegr\u00fcnder des Netzwerks und langj\u00e4hriges Vorstandsmitglied, wo er FIM vertrat, die politische Stiftung der Kommunistischen Partei Spaniens (PCE).<\/span><\/p>\n

Javier spielte mit seiner Intelligenz, seinem Wissen und Kampfgeist, aber auch mit seinem kooperativen Wesen eine entscheidende Rolle in der Entwicklung des ideologischen und politischen Profils unseres Netzwerks. Er engagierte sich mit gro\u00dfem Eifer in all unseren Aktivit\u00e4ten in Europa und auf der ganzen Welt: So nahm er am Weltsozialforum, europ\u00e4ischen Sozialforum, an den Sommeruniversit\u00e4ten der EL, an Konferenzen, Seminaren und Workshops von transform! und seinen Mitgliedsorganisationen teil und schrieb f\u00fcr unsere Newsletter, Periodika und Jahrb\u00fccher.<\/span><\/p>\n

Javier war Marxist mit umfangreichem Wissen im Bereich der politischen \u00d6konomie. Er war bekannt als undogmatischer andalusischer, spanischer und s\u00fcdeurop\u00e4ischer Kommunist mit einem breiten Horizont, als<\/a> engagierter Aktivist in den sozialen Bewegungen und ehrlicher B\u00fcrger. Er war Paula ein liebevoller Partner, ein f\u00fcrsorglicher Vater und ein lieber Freund und Genosse, mit dem man bei einem Gl\u00e4schen und einer Zigarette stundenlang reden konnte.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wir werden ihn stets in Liebe und Dankbarkeit in Erinnerung behalten.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the Marxist Research Foundation (FIM)<\/b>, we regret to report the death of Javier Navascu\u00e9s, Professor at the University of Seville, current Head of the Policy Section and member of our foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Navascu\u00e9s was Director of the FIM from 2000 to 2008, one of the most fertile times of the foundation, years in which the History Congresses and the Development Economics Congresses of the PCE took place, and he also organized the tributes to Manuel Sacrist\u00e1n and Sim\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez Montero.<\/span><\/p>\n

During his tenure, sections such as aesthetics and literature were created, magazines such as the Journal of Marxist Literary Criticism were published, and relations with public universities and the expansion of FIM activities throughout the country were consolidated.<\/span><\/p>\n

Navascu\u00e9s stood out for his dedication to the impulse of the left in Europe, being one of the founders of the transform! network, one of the most important networks of the European foundations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the direction of Javier Navascu\u00e9s, the FIM experienced an important growth among a new generation of young students, who are currently developing a significant task of spreading Marxism from the Spanish and European universities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, Javier Navascu\u00e9s was also a prominent leader of the PCE, of which he was secretary of training and debate, as well as a leader of Izquierda Unida de Andaluc\u00eda and author of many of the most important initiatives and programmatic alternatives of that organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

Navascu\u00e9s was the author of an important intellectual work and he wrote numerous theoretical articles in the magazine Nuestra Bandera (Our Flag), and he worked also for the dissemination of Marxism through his column in Mundo Obrero. Work that has been compiled in the book \u201cNavegando en aguas peligrosas. Una actitud ante las crisis\u201d (Navigating through dangerous waters: an attitude towards to crises), published by Atrapasue\u00f1os in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the FIM we want to convey our condolences to his partner and daughter, his family and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n
