En el 200 aniversario del nacimiento de Karl Marx, seguidores, detractores y aquellos que permanecen neutrales concuerdan en que Marx ha sido el pensador pol\u00edtico y social m\u00e1s influyente de todos los tiempos.<\/p>\n
Marx tiene la distinci\u00f3n de haber sido no solo un activista pol\u00edtico de primera l\u00ednea, sino tambi\u00e9n un eminente economista, un distinguido historiador de la econom\u00eda, la tecnolog\u00eda, la ciencia y la pol\u00edtica, as\u00ed como un fil\u00f3sofo original, un polemista y un periodista comprometido.<\/p>\n
En el trabajo intelectual, Marx fue extremadamente ambicioso, y casi sin precedentes en la historia del pensamiento: Estableci\u00f3 una filosof\u00eda de la historia, basada en una base cient\u00edfica s\u00f3lida, que permite un diagn\u00f3stico de los errores del capitalismo y de la cual pueden derivar las pautas para la pol\u00edtica pragm\u00e1tica y revolucionaria.<\/p>\n
No se debe ignorar la importancia de su pensamiento, y es imperativo reconsiderar la figura de Karl Marx desde una perspectiva de su relevancia actual, para comprender los desaf\u00edos del mundo globalizado, diez a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de la crisis de 2008.<\/p>\n
En este bicentenario de su nacimiento, la Fundaci\u00f3n de Investigaciones Marxistas (FIM), la Fundaci\u00f3n Europa de los Ciudadanos (FEC), y la red transform! Network, con la colaboraci\u00f3n de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), asume la tarea de organizar una conferencia internacional dedicada al estudio del trabajo de Marx y su influencia en la ciencia y la pol\u00edtica contempor\u00e1nea pragm\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n
