Jan Kavan

Jan Kavan (born 1946), former Czech politician and diplomat, one of the student leaders in 1968/69, then emigrant to Great Britain until 1989, after 1989 Member of the House of Commons of the Federal Assembly, member of the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD), in the 1990s Deputy Prime Minister of Zeman‘s government and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator for the ČSSD, and also President of the UN General Assembly (2002-2003).
