Check out our new eDossier with selected contributions from last year’s annual Strategy Seminar organised by transform! europe and the Rosa-Luxemburg-Foundation, which took place in Paris in November 2022 and focused on the sociology of the left vote and various conglomerates of the radical left.
The annual strategic seminar organised by transform! europe and the Rosa-Luxemburg-Foundation has been a point of reference for the work and methodology of our think tanks.
Last year we aimed to tackle questions related not only with the European elections, but in general with the social basis of the left in Europe and the reasons behind our weakness to mobilise social strata with our political programme and influence the European politics, both in national and in the EU level. We have been looking at the sociology of the left vote today, identifying the socio-economic profile of those who prefer to vote left, while at the same time identifying those who do not, even though we see them as strata that we could politically represent. Such a process has led us to some conclusions about where the Left could potentially start to expand its social base and, consequently, its electoral base.
You can find some of them in the eDossier, with selected contributions from the seminar, edited and coordinated by Angelina Giannopoulou, facilitator of transform! europe in the programme “European Integration and the Strategic Perspectives of the Radical Left”.
